Grilled Onion Guacamole

  • 2 Tbspn. sadaf Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbspn. sadaf Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tspn. sadaf ground Cumin Seed
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1 medium Tomato, raw
  • 1 medium hot chili pepper
  • 1 Tbspn. sadaf Lime Juice
  • 2 Tbspn. sadaf Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tspn. sadaf Coarsely ground pepper
  • 3/4 Tspn. sadaf Salt
  • 3 medium California Avocado
  • 2 medium Garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 Tbspn. Chopped Cilantro


Peel onion and cut into 1/4 inch thick slices. In a small bowl, combine the oil, lemon juice, vinegar, pepper, cumin and 3/4 teaspoon salt. Place in a shallow dish, add the onion and let marinate for 1 hour. Heat a grill until hot. Drain the liquid from the onion and place on a grill. Grill for 3 minutes per side. Coarsely chop.
Peel, seed and cut the avocados into 1/2 inch dice. Dice the tomato and chop the chili. Combine the grilled onion, avocados, tomato, garlic, chili and cilantro. Season to taste with salt and lime juice. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
