Bring 11/4 cups of water to a boil. Substitute with broth for more flavor.
Add 1 cup of couscous.
Add 2 tablespoons of butter, margarine or safflower oil and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Cover and allow to steam for 5-8 minutes.
Remove from heat and keep covered for another 5 minutes for a fluffier and more flavorful couscous.
Fluff lightly with fork and serve.
You can serve the couscous with Sadaf Vegetarian Stews, chicken or meat of your choice or vegetables or simply enjoy it plain.
